Working within a dedicated Product Team, I focused on scaling the platform’s core features and utility tools for both the UK and Spanish markets. This role required balancing technical tax logic with user-centric design, ensuring a unified experience across different regulatory landscapes.

The Core Product

Systematising the Filing Experience

Tax filing is historically fragmented and opaque. Working closely with our Operations Team, I gained deep insights into the specific pain points users faced, which allowed me to restructure the filing journey into a centralised ecosystem. I replaced manual dread with automated clarity by breaking down onboarding into logical, digestible steps. To bridge the gap between users and professionals, I developed a secure messaging tool for direct accountant communication and integrated a lightweight invoicing tool for real-time income tracking. These efforts transformed a stressful annual task into a transparent, ongoing digital service that functioned seamlessly across the UK and Spain.

Growth Calculators

Utility as Acquisition

Most users require immediate clarity on their tax liabilities before committing to a paid service. Collaborating with the Product Team, I designed a suite of high-intent income and dividend calculators that provided instant financial value before the paywall. These tools functioned as low-friction entry points, using a mobile-first approach to convert passive search traffic into active leads. By providing answers first and asking for commitment later, we successfully bridged the gap between a user’s initial curiosity and their final filing decision, creating a high-performance growth engine for the platform.

Scaling the Growth Engine

To move from a utility tool to a market leader, I worked in close partnership with the Marketing Team to build a performance-driven design system optimised for conversion. I iterated on landing pages and multi-channel campaign assets, utilising A/B testing to refine layouts and maximise user trust. By focusing on transparency and social proof, I ensured the visual language remained consistent and high-performing as the platform expanded its user acquisition efforts. This collaborative approach ensured that every marketing touchpoint reinforced the product's core value proposition of simplicity and expert-backed security.
